Sidney Crosby, Assistant Captain of the Canadian Men's Olympic Hockey Team, today announced that he would donate the proceeds from his winning gold medal to the class="xn-person">Sidney Crosby Foundation. The Foundation, created in his home province of Nova Scotia in 2009, is committed to providing financial support to charities that are beneficial to the community as a whole, specifically charities benefitting children.
